Our Team
Our team is comprised of highly qualified professionals who share our commitment to excellence in patient care. Dr. John Masengill, our lead dentist, studied chemistry at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2003. He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and earned his DDS degree in 2007. Dr. John is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry and has attended numerous continuing education courses to ensure that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care possible.
In addition to Dr. John, our team includes a talented group of hygienists and assistants who are dedicated to providing each patient with a unique and personalized experience. Brittany Thornhill, RDH, has many years of dental experience and prides herself on fostering lasting relationships with patients. Casey Stooksbury, RDH, is a compassionate and skilled hygienist who enjoys getting to know her patients and developing long-term relationships. Kelli Booker, RDA, is an experienced dental assistant who is dedicated to patient care and love of dentistry. Kimberly Bailey, RDA, is a skilled and compassionate dental assistant who has been with our practice since 2018.

Our Office
At Rocky Hill Dental, we pride ourselves on providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our patients. Our office is conveniently located in Knoxville, Tennessee, and we are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. We accept most major credit cards, cash, and personal checks with a valid driver's license.

Friendly Staff, but Poor Administration and Billing
While the employees at Rocky Hill Dental are described as friendly and cordial, several reviews highlight issues with administration and billing practices. Author Tom Defino rated the office 1 star and wrote that he was charged extra fees without being informed beforehand, and it took months for the pain to subside after treatment. He also received multiple bills years later, despite having paid his bills in full. Authors Roxanne Gonzalez and Macaela Fain also had negative experiences with billing and administrative errors.
Positive Reviews
Despite these issues, some authors have had positive experiences with the office. Author Libby Orr gave Rocky Hill Dental 5 stars and reported that every visit had been wonderful, with quick service and friendly staff. Author L. D. also gave the office 5 stars, praising the efficient and knowledgeable staff.
Negative Reviews
The majority of reviews, however, describe poor administration and billing practices, unprofessional behavior, and unsatisfactory treatment. Authors Kirsten Jane and Macaela Fain both gave the office 1 star and reported being mistreated and not having their concerns addressed. Roxanne Gonzalez agreed to stop treatment to resolve an insurance issue, but was still billed over $100. Macaela Fain also reported that Dr. Masengill was rude and unprofessional, refused to numb her gums, and made her feel bad about her teeth.
