- Your Child's First Visit:We understand that your child's first dental visit can be a bit daunting, which is why we've put together some tips to help make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
- Oral Examination: During your child's first visit, Dr. Toni will perform a comprehensive oral examination, taking the time to answer any questions you may have and making sure your child feels at ease.
- Teeth Cleaning & Fluoride: We may also clean your child's teeth, making sure to be gentle and supportive every step of the way. If your child has a higher risk of developing cavities, our doctor or dental assistant may also apply a topical fluoride preparation to aid in cavity prevention.
- Behavioral Guidance: We invite parents to stay with their children during the initial examination, as well as any future visits. We believe that a team approach is essential in overcoming apprehension, gaining your child's confidence, and providing the safest environment possible.
Meet Dr. Toni
Dr. Toni Chen is a native to the San Gabriel Valley, with a passion for working with children that began long before she became a pediatric dentist. After graduating from Arcadia High School, she completed her undergraduate work at UCLA with a degree in biology. She then pursued her dental education at USC, followed by two additional years of pediatric specialty training at the highly regarded Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). When you come in for a visit, don't forget to ask her who she roots for during UCLA/USC games!
