Dr. Dalton Harding is an enthusiastic healthcare provider who has been committed to helping patients here in the Pacific Northwest achieve peak oral health for the last several years. He grew up in Cheney, WA before attending Washington State University for his undergraduate education – Go Cougs! From there, he and his wife moved to New York City, where he attended dental school at New York University.
Dr. Cory Gaunt
Hello, and thanks for your interest in Downriver Smiles. For the past 10 years, I have been honored to serve my patients at this office in the beautiful Audubon neighborhood. I was born at Sacred Heart and spent my entire childhood in Spokane. I owe that to my parent’s decision to move up from California so my mom could go to dental hygiene school here at Eastern Washington University. And while having a dental hygienist as my mother may seem like the start of my eventual journey to dentistry, it actually began with her father who was a dentist. He practiced in a time before masks and gloves, and my mom distinctly remembers handling mercury with her bare hands while working for him in high school! Fortunately, she still has all of her fingers.

Dr. Gaunt is the best dentist I’ve encountered in 70 years. I’ve been in the Spokane area for 19 years and seen four dentists. Several years ago, I found my “home” with Dr. Gaunt.
He’s great at his “job”, highly ethical, and very kind. His staff is also friendly, kind, and very helpful!
They are truly a blessing! You won’t find a better dental group ! I give them my highest recommendation.

I visited Down River Smiles after I had a bad experience with a different north side provider. After the initial consultation with Dr. Harding at Down River Smiles, I felt confident in his knowledge and skills. Dr. Harding demonstrated empathy and care throughout the entire process. His goal was to ensure I would be happy with the results. Dr. Harding explained each step throughout the process, and he demonstrated a great deal of patience. Additionally, Dr. MaCall, the owner of this practice, was involved in the initial consultation and in the surgery. Both these Doctors were exceptional. I would highly encourage anyone who is searching for a dentist to choose Dr Harding at Down River Smiles.

While the initial appointment went great. The next one did not. I originally went in for a tooth that was giving me pain and causing inflammation in my jaw. I was under the impression the tooth would be extracted at my next appointment as it was causing me pain. I came in to not only find out I wasn't scheduled to get the tooth removed. I wasn't even scheduled for work being done on that side of my mouth. The only reason I'm giving more stars is because when the mistake was made, they worked fast to fix it.

I can't say enough about Downriver Smiles, from the moment you enter the office, the front gals are so friendly and full of smiles. You will be well taken care of with the tender and efficient dental hygienists. One that especially comes to mind is Ms. Tess Hart. Not only is she extremely professional bust she is so sweet and really cares about you. Dr. Gaunt is very methodical and systematic and noticed I needed a crown and some other things taken care of. We scheduled those and he did them all in one day. I trust him completely! Schedule your visit with the best dentists and dental hygienists in town! You will not be disappointed.

I recommend Downriver Smiles wholeheartedly. Dr. Gaunt is always friendly and always stays to answer any questions. All their hygienists are amazing! I’ve had extractions, root canals, fillings, deep cleanings, and each time the doctor and hygienists took wonderful care of me. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful when going thru the insurance and billing scenarios. This office is also very punctual, my appointments have all started on time.
