Dr. Amar Patel
A California native, Dr. Amar Patel grew up in Santa Cruz and received his Bachelor of Science from UC Davis and his Doctorate in Dentistry from Temple University. Since then, he has completed continued education through the Kois Center, as well as additional training through Spear Education. Dr. Patel’s time at the Kois Center only grew his passion for “people-focused” dentistry. He’s not looking at you as another statistic or mouth to fix. Dr. Patel sees you as the person you are, with goals and dreams of a healthier smile and a happier life.

I had 16 crowns replaced over a year ago
and am still ecstatic about my beautiful smile. I didn’t want to leave a review immediately because I wanted to have them awhile to see how they would hold up. I had my previous crowns for 30 years so it was time for an upgrade. I spent a lot of time traveling right after I receive them. Many photos were taken in many countries. The responses were not about the county side, but “You look so happy!”. I was smiling in all the photos and that is what everyone noticed first. Dr Patel is a very kind and responsive person as are his staff. He is meticulous about his work and listens to patient feedback while going through the process. I feel lucky to have found them. It was expensive but if the benefit is amortized over the years, I would say that I am worth it!

Dr. Patel and the receptionist/assistant lady (who asked me not to use her name in a review, but she'll know who she is) were both extremely pleasant and wonderful. I chipped my tooth biting my nails - yes, gross, I never knew it was actually BAD, I just thought it was an icky habit - and they were able to see me same day and then give me a filling since the damage was relatively minor. Throughout the entire process they were gentle, supportive, and honest. I'm normally very anxious in dental settings and haven't been for a cleaning in much longer than I should have and I was treated in a very kind, understanding, and respectful way at all points. Probably my first dental experience with very minimal anxiety!! Big thank yous to the team for their help.

Needed a tooth extracted due to an accident. Went to 2 other dentists who both said to do a bridge. Dr. Patel was confident that an implant was possible. So glad I went to his office. Friendly staff, no pain during the extraction and bone graft - much easier than I thought after putting it off due to fear. I wish I would have found his office sooner.

I have had extensive dental work over the course of my life by several different dentists. I also have 2nd hand exposure with a dental hygienist in the family. Dr Patel isn't overly aggressive with treatment recommendations and at the same time is thorough in assessing what needs attention. He has a steady hand and good focus when performing his work. His hygienist is top notch as well.

Dr. Patel and team are amazing! I look forward to my visits with them and everyone makes you feel so comfortable! I recently got two of my chipped teeth fixed by Dr.Patel and couldn't have been happier with the results. They thoroughly explain treatment options and work with patients to execute the plan. I would recommend anyone to Ivory Dental Aesthetics for any dental procedure, big or small!
