Family Dentistry

Our dental hygiene program is designed to keep your gums healthy and prevent dental diseases. We offer regularly scheduled cleanings that are customized to meet your specific needs, oral hygiene instructions, and regular checkups. Our goal is to detect dental problems early and prevent them from becoming more severe. We perform root canals (endodontics), crowns, bridges, extractions, dentures (partial, full or implant assisted), and manage gum disease including deep scaling/cleaning and gum surgery for more severe cases.

Our team is the backbone of our practice. We are proud to have a team of highly skilled and experienced dental professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional dental care.

• Amit Patel, DMD: Dr. Patel is a highly skilled dentist who has been practicing since 1997. He is a graduate of Mercer School of Engineering and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He completed his training at the Cleveland Clinic and has been serving the community since 2003. Dr. Patel is an active member of various community service organizations and enjoys meeting new people.
• Peggy: Peggy is our office manager who has been with us since 2006. She is proficient in all phases of practice management and has a contagiously warm personality. Peggy resides in Harnett County and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
• Lorraine: Lorraine is our front desk receptionist who joined our team in 2008. She represents the practice extremely well and supports the front office with patient care needs. Lorraine resides in Cary with her husband, children, and grandson.
• Shelley: Shelley is our certified dental assistant who joined our team recently. She has extensive training in the US Air Force and private practice. Shelley brings positive energy and exceptional clinical ability to our team.
• Sherry: Sherry is our registered dental hygienist who has been with us for over 26 years. She is an extremely warm and caring individual who has excellent clinical abilities. Sherry resides in Holly Springs with her husband and two sons.
• Tammy: Tammy is our registered dental hygienist who joined our team in 2016. She loves building one-on-one relationships with patients and partnering for optimal oral health. Tammy and her husband reside in Moore County with their son.

State-of-the-Art Technology

At West Cary Dental, we use the latest technology to enhance patient comfort and deliver outstanding results. We use digital radiography to take and view x-ray images on the computer screen just seconds after they are taken. This technology allows us to detect dental problems early and provide effective treatment.
