Meet Dr. Steinmetz

Dr. Mike Steinmetz is a board-certified pediatric dentist with a passion for providing exceptional care to children. He received his Bachelor's degree in biology from St. John's University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. He then completed a 2-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Minnesota, further solidifying his expertise in this specialized field.

Dr. Steinmetz is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Minnesota Dental Association. He has also been a member of the Minnesota Army National Guard since 2009, providing dental support for Minnesota's soldiers.

Dr. Steinmetz has extensive experience in providing dental care for children in a variety of settings, including clinic, moderate sedation, and general anesthesia. He has worked in several Minnesota communities, including the Twin Cities, central Minnesota, and Duluth, and is now proud to serve the children of west central Minnesota.

Dr. Steinmetz, his wife Jane, and their daughter Bella, enjoy all that this beautiful area has to offer. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Steinmetz boating, fishing, hunting, making maple syrup in the spring, or watching football.

• In-Office Treatment: For children who require more extensive treatment, we offer in-office sedation options to ensure that your child remains comfortable and relaxed throughout their visit.

• Hospital Treatment: In some cases, dental treatment may need to be performed in a hospital setting. Dr. Steinmetz has experience providing dental care under general anesthesia in a hospital environment.

• Emergency Care: Accidents can happen, and when they do, we are here to help. Our team is equipped to handle dental emergencies, providing prompt and effective treatment to minimize discomfort and ensure optimal outcomes.

Education and Referrals

We also provide referrals to other dental specialists as needed to ensure that your child receives the best possible care.

Insurance and Office Hours

We understand that navigating insurance can be confusing, which is why we are happy to help you with your insurance questions and claims. We are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and we look forward to serving you and your family.
