Our Practice History

At Tim Loughran Dentistry, our goal is "helping clients enjoy their teeth for a lifetime." This commitment to providing exceptional dental care has been the cornerstone of our practice since its inception. Over the years, we have continually updated our approach to treatment to ensure that our patients receive the most advanced and comfortable care available.

In the mid-1980s, we began offering a revolutionary self-help protocol for patients with gum disease, which aimed to prevent tooth loss. We also started restoring front teeth to improve their appearance in the smile. The early 1990s saw us incorporating the use of intraoral cameras to view back teeth, allowing us to detect problems before toothache became evident. Our shift away from dental amalgam fillings in 1995 was a significant step towards more tooth-friendly options. The introduction of hydrokinetic lasers in 2001 further enhanced our ability to provide conservative and comfortable treatments. In 2006, we began placing dental implants to replace missing teeth and stabilize loose dentures, and the same year, we started using digital radiographs, which allowed patients to see their x-rays on a television screen, enhancing their understanding of the procedure.
