Meet Dr. John McDonald

As a second-generation orthodontist, Dr. John McDonald grew up in Salem and understands the needs of this community firsthand. His journey in dentistry is marked by dedication and a commitment to providing the highest quality care. Dr. McDonald received his dental degree from OHSU and honed his skills during a four-year service as a dental officer in the U.S. Army, where he completed a residency and served in Korea and Germany. Furthering his expertise, he completed a two-year orthodontic specialty program at the University of Pennsylvania, becoming one of the few board-certified orthodontists in the area. Dr. McDonald takes pride in continuing his father's legacy, bringing together family values and exceptional orthodontic expertise to provide personalized treatment for every patient.
