Meet Marisela M. Bedoya, DMD, DHSc

Dr. Marisela M. Bedoya is a proud native Tucsonan and the founder of Doctor Smiles Orthodontics. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and her Certificate in Public Health from A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. She is passionate about crafting beautiful smiles and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in orthodontic technology and treatments.

At Doctor Smiles Orthodontics, we offer a wide range of orthodontic services to meet the needs of all of our patients. Our services include:

• Braces: We offer traditional metal braces that are smaller and more comfortable than ever before.
• Invisalign: The Invisalign System is a series of custom-made, removable aligners that gradually move the teeth into the desired location. Invisalign is available to teens and adult patients, based on their orthodontic needs.
• Pediatric Airway Treatment: Dr. Bedoya evaluates every child to determine if they require pediatric airway treatment. She can expand the airway and often prevent obstructive sleep apnea and improve the child's overall health.
• Gingivectomy/Frenectomy: A portion of the gums or soft tissue fold of the lips/tongue can be removed with a laser. Dr. Bedoya uses a Spectrum laser that is specific for orthodontics and is highly effective, causing no patient discomfort and superior healing.
• Retainers/Nightguards: After the main phase of orthodontic treatment, it is important to wear retainers to ensure that your straight new smile lasts a lifetime.
