Fourth District Dental Society

The Fourth District Dental Society is a leading organization dedicated to promoting the art and science of dentistry in Northeastern New York State. Our mission is to improve public health, promote dental excellence, and serve the interests of both our members and the public.

We are a strong component of the New York State Dental Association (NYS) and the American Dental Association (ADA), collectively known as the tripartite. Our district covers eleven counties north of the Mohawk River and west of the Vermont border, including Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington.

Our organization is proud to have a robust membership with nearly 80% of licensed dentists in our district being part of the tripartite. We believe in fostering a strong community of dental professionals who share a commitment to excellence and public service.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services to our members and the community. Our Continuing Education courses provide dental professionals with the latest knowledge and skills to enhance their practice. We also provide resources for new dentists, including mentorship opportunities and networking events.

Our Peer Review program helps maintain high standards of dental care in our district by evaluating the quality of services provided by our members. Additionally, we publish a regular newsletter that keeps our members and the public informed about important dental health issues and updates from our organization.

The Saratoga Dental Congress is an annual event hosted by our society, bringing together dental professionals from across the region for education, networking, and professional development. We also organize an Annual Golf Tournament, which serves as a fundraiser for our organization and a chance for members to relax and socialize outside of their professional duties.
