Creating beautiful smiles is an art form.

The Institute for Growth and Development in Pediatric Dentistry is dedicated to creating beautiful smiles through early treatment of malocclusion. Our founder, Dr. Leonard J. Carapezza, has over 30 years of clinical experience in pediatric orthodontics and a successful private practice in Wayland, Massachusetts. Dr. Carapezza's passion for early treatment of malocclusion led him to become a recognized lecturer in this field. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, teaching Early Treatment of Malocclusion to pedodontic graduate students. He is also an associate of the New England Medical Center and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Department of Pediatric Dentistry.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide generalists and pediatric dentists with the opportunity to learn early treatment techniques in a continuing education program. These treatments can add a valuable service that will enhance dental practices, as half of all orthodontic treatment is currently provided by generalists and pediatric dentists. Our curriculum is designed to help dentists provide this valuable patient service and improve their approach to pediatric malocclusion.

Our Courses

Our courses offer a unique opportunity for generalists and pediatric dentists to learn early treatment techniques in a continuing education program. Our Beginning & Advanced Courses are available for registration online through the American Orthodontic Society.
