Our Story

Dr. Alex Drake opened Drake & Seymour Dentistry in July 2012. He had worked for local dentists, but he wanted to open his own business. He had a vision of what the perfect dental office would be, and he intended to fulfill that vision. His goal was to offer Oxford, NC and the surrounding areas the absolute best in dentistry, while providing a hometown feel and personal touch. Through his practice, he wanted to build strong relationships with people in the community seeking healthy, beautiful smiles.

Meet the Dentists

Dr. Alex Drake graduated with Distinction from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Psychology before deciding to pursue a career in dentistry at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. In 2006, he graduated with Honors and chose to continue his education in a General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. In his residency, Dr. Drake received extensive training in all areas of general dentistry.

Dr. Seymour, also a native of the area, graduated from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2011. After completing her residency, she joined Dr. Drake at Drake & Seymour Dentistry, bringing her own passion for patient care and commitment to providing high-quality dental services.
