Meet Dr. Daniel Derksen

Dr. Daniel Derksen is known for his genuine concern for his patients and his ability to always have their best interest in mind when providing detailed explanations of appropriate treatment options. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Michigan Dental Association. Dr. Derksen is committed to keeping his knowledge and skills up-to-date by regularly participating in continued education. He has made upgrades and improvements to the office, such as a computerized office system to expedite services and a new x-ray pan machine.

Dr. Derksen grew up in Bath, Michigan, and after graduating with honors and playing football at Kalamazoo College, he finished at the top of his dental class at the University of Michigan Dental School. He was inducted into the OKU dental honors society and still participates today. Dr. Derksen and his wife returned to the area to be near family and friends after practicing dentistry in East Lansing for many years. He was thankful for the opportunity to take over for Dr. James Gallagher's Lansing dental services in the fall of 2012.
