Education and Prevention
A vital part of our practice is that of education and prevention. We explain to children and parents the proper way to care for the teeth and gums to ensure a healthy smile and want everyone to practice good oral health habits every day, starting at a young age. Many conditions that can negatively impact the smile are entirely preventable with proper hygiene habits, including tooth decay and periodontal disease. With education on the care of the smile and preventive services, including cleanings and examinations, we can ensure that children protect their smiles from irreversible damage and harm. We follow the recommendations made by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, including the importance of routine visits every six months for cleanings and evaluations.

Our team is led by Dr. Mona Houshiar, a pediatric dentist with a strong belief in preventing dental problems and educating families about healthy smiles for life. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009 from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Our team members are dedicated to providing the best possible care for our patients and creating a positive experience for them.
